Dr. Walter W. Mills, M.D. is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Clinical Professor in the UCSF Department of Family and Community medicine with over 36 years of experience in academics and healthcare, including community medical practice, hospital and medical group executive management, and teaching. Dr. Mills is currently serving as the Chief of Medical Staff and Associate Director of the Family Medicine Residency Program at Natividad. Before joining NMC in 2013, he practiced Family Medicine at Kaiser Permanente Medical Group in Santa Rosa, Fallon Clinic in Worcester Mass., Primary Care Associates of the Redwood Empire in Rohnert Park, CA., and Integrative Medical Clinic of Santa Rosa, CA. He has served in medical leadership roles, held board memberships, and received administrative teaching appointments with family medicine residency programs, hospital/ medical groups and other community health organizations. He is well published and the recipient of numerous teaching and leadership awards. Dr. Mills received his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego. He completed a residency in the UCLA Family Practice Program, a Masters in Medical Management at the University of Southern California Marshall Executive School of Business, and is a Fellow of the American College of Physician Executives.
