Neuromodulation is one of more advanced tools that pain physicians apply to help patients with longstanding pain. Spinal cord stimulation was first used in 1960’s and its technology has evolved significantly over the course of past few decades. The key to its success is appropriate patient selection and setting expectations.

Desired Outcomes:

At the conclusion of the lecture the participants will be able to:

  • Review the basics of neuromodulation and available technology.
  • Understand the indications for spinal cord stimulation.
  • Examine the evidence of efficacy of this treatment.
